Can I come to the workshop but not sing in the concert? The workshop is restricted to those who are singing in the concert.

Can I attend a workshop at one venue and a concert at a different venue? We prefer you to come to the same venue for both, so that we can balance each choir and create a unified sound.

How do I buy extra concert tickets? Additional concert tickets for your family and friends should be purchased directly from the venue box office.
Can I choose my seat in the auditorium? Your concert ticket is included in the price and will be given to you at the workshop. It will be in a part of the hall reserved for the choir so we regret you will not be able to sit next to family and friends who are not in the choir. This is to give the choir easy access to the stage. When you are not performing you will be able to enjoy the rest of the performance. We will work with the venue to assist those with limited mobility.

What time do I need to arrive on the concert day? You must attend the 5.00 pm rehearsal on the afternoon of the concert. This is to ensure a high standard of performance for the paying public.

Is the music difficult? With enthusiasm and hard work anybody over the age of 14 should be able to take part. We don’t audition singers. You don’t have to be able to read music although it helps. Each participant will have on-line access to mp3 downloads to enable them to practice between the workshop and the concert. We sing in parts (Soprano, Alto, Tenor Bass) but the ranges are suitable for the average voice and are not extremely low or high.

Is it suitable for children? The workshop day requires a high level of concentration so we feel this is not suitable for most under 13s. However we realise there are exceptions so please contact us if you are considering bringing a child.

Is there a limit on numbers? The number of places in each choir is limited to 50. Within each choir we will keep a balance between sopranos, altos, tenors and basses. We will keep a waiting list if the project is over-subscribed and inform you if we have a cancellation.
